The earner of this badge has learned the pitfalls and opportunities associated with the advancement of AI, and how AI could positively or negatively impact the inclusion of persons with disabilities. In addition, the earner has explored the risk and benefits of AI used in powered mobile assistive technology through the point of view of people with lived experience of disability. The learner viewed a podcast and webinar on AI implications delivered by Dr. Roger Melko, Professor of Physics from the University of Waterloo. A summative assessment was completed and then evaluated by a qualified We Count assessor. Estimated learning time including assessment: 3 hours.
