Contribution recognized

The contributor prepares a supported marketing recommendation through a situated workplace or civic/community contribution that produces a usable output for another person’s planning, coordination, decision, or action.

Learning Goal

  • LG029 — Learners will develop their ability to prepare a supported marketing recommendation using marketing process and marketing mix concepts.

Learning Outcomes

  1. LO085 — Upon completion, the learner will be able to identify relevant marketing process or marketing mix considerations for a practical marketing problem or opportunity.
  2. LO086 — Upon completion, the learner will be able to build a supported marketing recommendation using audience information, value proposition, channel logic, or communication objectives.
  3. LO087 — Upon completion, the learner will be able to explain resource constraints, trade-offs, expected outcomes, or wider implications related to the marketing recommendation.

Acceptable Artifact Element

AE002 — Presentations & Slide Decks

Evidentiary purpose: Makes the contributor’s situated role and use of LO085, LO086, LO087 visible through a naturally occurring presentations & slide decks.

Minimum characteristics: - A genuine workplace or civic/community context. - An attributable contributor role. - A usable output aligned to the selected Learning Outcomes. - Sufficient context for AC001 and AC002 validation.

Workplace example

A workplace marketing recommendation deck, campaign rationale deck, audience insight presentation, marketing mix recommendation, value proposition deck, channel recommendation, stakeholder engagement presentation, or resource-prioritization briefing prepared for management or stakeholder review.

Civic/community example

A civic/community marketing recommendation deck, outreach rationale deck, audience insight presentation, stakeholder engagement presentation, campaign recommendation, value proposition deck, channel recommendation, membership/participation briefing, or resource-prioritization presentation prepared for governance or stakeholder review.

Assessment Components

AC001 — STARR Reflection

Redo (R): The STARR Reflection is missing, is not attributable to the contributor, does not sufficiently address one or more required STARR elements, or does not establish a credible connection to LO085, LO086, LO087 and the aligned KSBs.

Pass (P): The STARR Reflection is complete, situated, and attributable. It addresses Situation: The contributor identifies a workplace or civic/community setting where a marketing problem, opportunity, campaign need, audience need, stakeholder engagement need, channel issue, value communication issue, or resource constraint required a recommendation.; Task: The contributor explains the marketing process or marketing mix consideration, audience or stakeholder need, value proposition question, channel choice, communication objective, resource constraint, trade-off, or expected outcome.; Action: The contributor describes how they identified relevant marketing process or marketing mix considerations; built a supported marketing recommendation using audience information, value proposition, channel logic, or communication objectives; and explained resource constraints, trade-offs, expected outcomes, or wider implications.; Result: The contributor describes the recommendation, stakeholder understanding, marketing direction, audience fit, resource-prioritization support, implementation readiness, or decision support that resulted from the contribution.; Relevance: The contributor explicitly connects the reflection to LG029, LO085–LO087, and the Training Unit-Level KSBs K010, S002, S003, S010, B002, B004, and B005. It explicitly connects the contribution to LO085, LO086, LO087 and the aligned KSBs K010, S002, S003, S010, B002, B004, B005.

AC002 — Contribution Witness Statement

Redo (R): The Contribution Witness Statement is absent, unattributable, provided by a person unable to confirm the contribution context, or does not sufficiently confirm the contributor’s role, situated contribution, relationship to LO085, LO086, LO087, and claimed KSB alignment.

Pass (P): An identifiable and contextually appropriate witness provides a credible statement that addresses Context Confirmation: The witness confirms the contributor participated in a workplace or civic/community context involving a marketing problem, audience need, campaign recommendation, marketing mix decision, stakeholder engagement, communication objective, or resource allocation consideration.; Contribution Confirmation: The witness confirms the contributor contributed to preparing, presenting, documenting, communicating, supporting, or using a marketing recommendation or rationale.; LO Confirmation: The witness confirms the contribution reasonably relates to identifying marketing process or marketing mix considerations, building a supported recommendation, and explaining resource constraints or implications.; KSB Confirmation: The witness confirms the contribution supports developmental alignment to K010, S002, S003, S010, B002, B004, or B005 and does not contradict the claimed alignment.; Credibility: The witness is identifiable and has sufficient relationship to the contribution context to confirm the evidence.

Completion requirement

Both AC001 and AC002 must achieve Pass (P). A Redo (R) on either component returns the Training Item for revision. Distinction is not available at Training Item level.

1. STARR Reflection Statement A structured, first-person account that addresses all Learning Outcomes (LIs) and related Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) through a real experience.

2. Contribution Witness Statement An endorsement from someone who directly observed or received the written product. Please provide:
