TRAVIS Engineering Inc. is a Canadian consulting firm specializing in forensic engineering, building science, and damage assessment. We provide independent, evidence-based evaluations of building failures, storm damage, and property losses to support insurance claims, construction disputes, and legal proceedings. Our multidisciplinary team combines practical field investigation with technical analysis to deliver clear, defensible reports that help clients understand causation, quantify damages, and make informed decisions.

Through TRAVIS Education, we also provide professional training programs focused on forensic inspection techniques and catastrophe damage assessment.

Criteria

To earn the TRAVIS Storm Damage Assessment Certification (SDAC), participants must:

  • Attend and complete the full 2-day in-person training program (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM each day)
  • Participate in instruction covering forensic inspection methods, storm damage mechanisms, and claims documentation
  • Demonstrate understanding of cause vs. damage analysis and defensible reporting practices
  • Participate in case-study discussions and practical inspection methodologies presented during the course
  • Meet attendance requirements required for Continuing Education credit eligibility

Successful participants receive a certificate verifying completion and continuing education hours where applicable.
