This microcredential is designed for Red Seal Electricians seeking advanced training in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Building on foundational installation skills, the program prepares learners to perform compliant electrical interconnections, troubleshoot and resolve system faults, and carry out preventative maintenance. Learners gain hands-on experience through work integrated learning (WIL) with solar contractors. Learners access fully operational systems, supported by interactive simulations that reinforce decision-making and safety practices. Upon completion, learners are equipped with the skills to advance into specialized roles such as Solar PV Systems Specialist or Solar Energy Systems Electrician. Areas of Study: - Photovoltaic solar energy system
