The Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) is an organization of professionals who practice public relations in Canada and abroad. Our members work to maintain the highest standards and to share a uniquely Canadian experience in public relations.

Criteria

Exam writers must take an invigilated, 2.5 hour exam with four sections, testing:

  • Section I - Public Relations Theory and Concepts - 10%, (multiple choice questions on public relations theory and concepts);
  • Section II - Fundamentals of Practice - 10%, (multiple choice questions on fundamentals of practice);
  • Section III - Workplace Readiness - 50%, (short answer questions on ethics, editing and writing skills);
  • Section IV- Strategic Analysis -30% - Case studies; essay questions.
