Criteria

To earn this badge, learners must successfully complete:

MODULE MASTERY • Pass all end-of-module knowledge checks (≥80%) covering: IPAC fundamentals, hazard identification, emergency protocols, and safe mobility principles

CASE STUDY APPLICATION • Analyze 2 safety-focused scenarios (e.g., "Client shows signs of infection" / "Witnessing a fall during transfer") • Submit action plans demonstrating: IPAC steps taken, hazard mitigation strategies, escalation decisions, and professional documentation

INTERACTIVE SCENARIO SIMULATION • Complete a branching scenario: "Safety First: Responding in the Moment" • Make time-sensitive choices about PPE use, client stabilization, emergency contact, and post-incident reporting; receive feedback on safety prioritization

REFLECTION & SAFETY COMMITMENT • Submit a 150–200 word reflection: "One safety practice I will champion to protect my clients and myself—and how I'll stay updated on best practices" • Digitally acknowledge the Learnist Safety Pledge affirming commitment to evidence-informed practices

FINAL INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT • Pass a cumulative assessment (≥85%) synthesizing IPAC, hazard response, emergency protocols, and communication under pressure

Badge is issued digitally via CanCred with verifiable URL, alignment metadata, and shareable link for resumes/LinkedIn.
