This badge recognizes individuals who have completed the CEWIL Canada Certified WIL Practitioner training program. This asynchronous program is designed for Canadian WIL practitioners in post-secondary institutions, including staff and faculty who support students’ work-integrated learning. Through three modules, participants engage with research literature, evidence-based practices, and the perspectives of students and recent graduates. They reflect on their current processes for assessing student learning, supporting meaningful reflection, and engaging with employers and host organizations. Participants learn to implement strategies that ensure high-quality, ethical, inclusive, and accessible WIL programming.

Criteria

  • Completion of all three modules of the CEWIL Canada Certified WIL Practitioner training program.
  • Active engagement with the course materials, including written content, videos, case studies, research excerpts, resource spotlights, and annotated bibliographies.
  • Successful completion of assessments and activities within each module.
  • Reflection on personal practice and application of learned strategies to improve WIL programming.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how research literature and evidence-based practices can inform daily work in WIL.
  • Implementation of strategies to ensure WIL programming is high-quality, ethical, inclusive, and accessible.
