Description

This Micro-Credential will help you develop a basic introductory understanding of art and science of project management and the generally recognized framework, knowledge areas and good practices of project management.

You will learn basic concepts about project quality, resources, communications, procurement, and stakeholder knowledge areas and processes. In addition, you will learn how to create a quality checklist, a team building activity, and a project status report. You will also learn how to create a stakeholder matrix.

Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated

This badge certifies that the learner can demonstrate the following knowledge and skills:

  • Explain the project quality management knowledge area, processes, and concepts to meet the projects’ quality objectives.
  • Create a quality checklist to ensure that the desired level of quality has been ensured in the project.
  • Explain the project procurement management knowledge area, processes, and concepts to manage and coordinate purchasing activities in a project.
  • Explain the resource management knowledge area and processes to manage the project human resources.
  • Create a basic team building activity to develop and manage the project team.
  • Explain the project communication management knowledge area, processes, and concepts to plan, manage, and control communications.
  • Create a basic project status report to update a project team and stakeholders on progress.
  • Explain the project stakeholder management knowledge area, processes, and concepts to manage expectations of stakeholders during a project.
  • Create a stakeholder engagement matrix to document and monitor engagement levels of stakeholders.

Evidence/Criteria for Success

The badge earner has met the following criteria for success:

  • Students must complete all assignments in the course with a minimum grade of 50%.
