CTDP Certification Assessor

The Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL) sets the standard for excellence in Canada's learning and development profession through a competency framework, a code of ethics, continuing professional development and the sought-after CTDP professional designation.

This is a Professional Performance badge, awarded for supporting quality performance in the field of training and development.

Activities

Assessors review and critically assess skill demonstration submissions against the Competencies for Performance and Learning Professionals©. They guide candidates through anonymous written feedback, and lead by example by giving back to the profession.

CTDP Certification Assessors collaborate with the assessment team to evaluate work product submitted by CTDP Candidates demonstrating their competence in Partnering with clients, plus one of these other Competency areas important to the profession, as described in the Competencies for Performance and Learning Professionals:

• Assessing performance needs
• Designing learning experiences

The Assessor role requires a rigorous induction and calibration process for consistent review of candidate evidence, guided by an evaluation rubric based on the Competencies, under the leadership of a Senior Assessor.

Badge holder was selected as a qualified Learning and Development professional by the I4PL Certification Committee and has met or exceeded the expectations of the committee in the performance of this role.

Estimated effort

This role requires a minimum of 10 hours of effort per month.

About the CTDP designation

The Certified Training and Development Professional CTDP is the only professional designation in Canada for workplace Performance and Learning. It is obtained through assessment of existing knowledge, skills or competency independent of instruction or training. The certification process is not a course, but an opportunity individuals to demonstrate their professional knowledge and competence, and to have that experience recognized in the form of a credential.
