This badge is awarded to students who develop intercultural skills that help them navigate cultural differences with confidence in academic, personal and professional situations. Using the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and other relevant frameworks, students identify steps to advance their competence along the continuum of intercultural development while sharing their experiences and listening actively to stories shared by others. Students demonstrate intercultural competency development by solving intercultural miscommunications, reflecting on their personal development, and describing their strengths and abilities to function effectively across cultural contexts and intercultural workplace settings.
