EMC updates learning content on a regular basis. Version: 2024 - 4

Learner has successfully completed a blended learning path designed to build awareness of manufacturing, advanced manufacturing and the trades skills that support advanced manufacturing.

Estimated effort: 25 - 35 hours

Training Components Included:

Work experience component: Learner has actively participated in hands on work experience designed to demonstrate and reinforce the program’s online learning within a manufacturing environment. A Learner's success in the hands-on work experience component is selected, confirmed, and approved by their employer.

Online learning component: The Learner has completed a series of self-paced e-Learning modules developed to increase awareness of skills required to support and maintain advanced manufacturing in the workplace.

Advanced Manufacturing topics included:

  • Robotics and Advanced Motion Systems
  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Data and Connectivity

Technical Topics included:

Learner has successfully completed a blended learning path designed to build awareness of manufacturing, advanced manufacturing and the trades skills that support advanced manufacturing. Estimated effort: 100 - 125 hours About the Skilled Trades in Advanced Manufacturing Program: The Skilled Trades in Advanced Manufacturing Program is an initiative designed to increase the awareness of skilled trades in manufacturing and introduce technical skills required to support advanced manufacturing. This program acts to build the confidence of the learner to participant in innovation discussions and increase their abilities to support manufacturing with the transition to advanced manufacturing. Work Experience component: Learner has actively participated in work experience as defined by the manufacturing employer. A Learner's success in the work experience components is confirmed and approved by their employer.
Online learning component: The Learner has completed a series of self-paced e-learning modules developed to increase awareness of the skills needed to be successful in the manufacturing sector and to increase knowledge of skills required to support and maintain advanced manufacturing in the workplace.
