Micro-certificate holders are able to:
- Research a profession or industry in Canada to find a match with previous experience using a variety of on-line tools including: National Occupational classification List (NOC List) and Government of Canada Job Bank
- Identify and evaluate current industry trends locally, provincially and nationally using JOB Bank to review industry specific information, compare average salaries across cities and provinces and review industry outlook for short, medium and long term prospects
- Read and evaluate industry literature including magazines, newsletters and journals in order to understand industry issues, trends and changes
- Develop a short, medium, or long term alternative career plan
- Connect and network with professional associations by joining a related professional association as a full or affiliate member or volunteer, attending events and meetings and conducting informational interviews with professionals in related fields
- At the end of the module, present formal research findings to the class using Infographics
The micro-certificate holder successfully completed assessments conducted by assignment, quizzes, group work, discussion exercises, and formal presentations.
