This microcredential is designed to provide learners with an understanding of mental health and recognize specific behavioural patterns to support a client experiencing mental health concerns. Learners will explore societal perspectives, risk factors, and stigma associated with mental health. This microcredential will introduce the collaborative care model and encourage learners to identify resources in the community to support and guide children and youth. Assessments of the microcredential program are authentic to workplace requirements and practical to learners as they are useable as resources in community-based care employment. Assessment Criteria

This badge is earned after demonstrating the ability to create an environment that supports children and youth with a mental health diagnosis through authentic assessment of the Supporting Mental Health module by:

receiving a passing grade (60% or above) on mental health education resource
