MVO Badge - Global OSINT Search Party CTF
The Most Valuable OSINT (MVO) badge is awarded to members of a team who submit the most valuable piece of OSINT during a Trace Labs Global OSINT Search Party CTF. Equivalent to our "Black Badge", and recipients of this badge in/after August 2022 will get free admission to future CTFs.

Trace Labs is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to accelerate the family reunification of missing persons while training members in the tradecraft of open source intelligence (OSINT).
Criteria
To be considered for the MVO badge, a team most submit at least one piece of OSINT that has a strong case for one or more of the following:
- Highly actionable
- Unique OSINT Technique used
- High level of difficulty to find
- Exceptional context and supporting evidence provided
The Trace Labs Volunteer judge team monitors for OSINT submitted that has a strong case for the above, and at the end of the CTF, the Trace Labs core team will vote on the strongest OSINT submission and award that team the MVO badge.
Awarded to members of team NT for submitting the most valuable OSINT at the January 2024 Trace Labs Global Search Party CTF event.
