Criteria
The holder of this micro-certificate is able to:
- Identify personal skill sets and transferable skills through self assessment and reflection exercises including on-line
- Produce an industry specific cover letter which clearly describes the student’s key skills and indicates areas of specific suitability using clear formatting
- Develop a targeted resume which includes, key words and accomplishment-oriented statements to describe key skills, experience and education
- Use a variety of techniques to answer interview questions in a clear and concise manner including: highlighting key skills related to the job ad and answering behavioural questions using the S.T.A.R. technique
- Follow up after an interview by sending a thoughtful, targeted thank you card re-iterating specific skills and experience and providing additional information if necessary.
The micro-certificate holder successfully completed assessments based on assignments, group work, and reflection exercises.
