Aligned to Learning Agents Flexible Spectrum of Recognition: Evidence & Demonstration

Professional Recognition

This program is pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute. Completion of this program qualifies for 12 points towards the initial eligibility and recertification of the Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD®) and Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD®) credentials.

Learning Outcomes or Requirements

Upon successful completion of the program, the badge holder is able to:
1. Craft effective, context-aware prompts to generate relevant outputs for L&D use cases.
2. Apply AI tools across the instructional design process, from needs analysis to content creation.
3. Produce multimedia assets for learning, including visuals, audio, and video, using AI tools.
4. Build and prototype simple, functional AI-powered applications for L&D tasks using no-code/low-code platforms.
5. Leverage AI to streamline essential L&D administrative and communication tasks, such as creating SOPs, project timelines, and marketing communications.
6. Apply principles of responsible and ethical AI use, focusing on mitigating bias, ensuring privacy, and maintaining transparency.

Learning Experience Activities

  • The badge holder successfully completed a 15-hour hands-on certification program.
  • The learning experience consisted of six 2-hour synchronous workshops and 2–3 hours of asynchronous, self-paced practice.
  • Each workshop included a guided, hands-on practice task designed to build a collection of AI-supported tools and learning assets.
  • To earn the credential, the holder was required to attend all six workshops (live or via recording) and actively participate in a final 1-hour Project Showcase Session.

Evidence

The badge holder demonstrated their proficiency by creating a self-curated AI in L&D Portfolio, composed of assets developed during each workshop's practice task.
As a final requirement, the earner selected one of their portfolio assets, polished it, and presented it to peers and facilitators during the final Project Showcase Session, demonstrating their ability to apply AI in a practical L&D context.

Assessment

The evidence submitted was evaluated based on the successful completion of all program requirements.
This included attendance at all six workshops and the presentation of a polished portfolio asset during the final Project Showcase Session. Certification is granted only after all workshops and tasks are completed.
