Learning Outcomes

The recipient of this badge demonstrated the following:

  • critically assessed their own knowledge, skills, and lived experiences given their social location and positionality within intersecting systems of power and oppression

  • identified strengths and areas for further learning in content areas relating to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility

  • began to better appreciate, understand, and empathize with perspectives and experiences different from their own so that they could articulate where their and others’ perspectives come from

  • recognized and employed their own developing abilities to take action to build a more inclusive and equitable environment at the University of Manitoba

Assessment

The course concluded with an applied assessment task. A grade of Pass (satisfactory completion of all components) was required to complete the course and receive the badge.
