Governance and Accountability: Ensures compliance with bylaws, ethical standards, and governance best practices; models transparency, fairness, and accountability in all decisions.
Organizational Stewardship: Oversees the effectiveness of the national Board and Executive, manages high-level relationships, and ensures the sustainability of CPRS’s mission and resources.
Advocacy and Representation: Serves as the public face and spokesperson for CPRS, representing members’ interests to media, partners, and allied organizations nationally and internationally.
Strategic Communication: Articulates the Society’s goals clearly to members and external audiences, building understanding and alignment around CPRS priorities.
Mentorship and Succession: Encourages leadership development across the organization, supporting emerging leaders and facilitating smooth executive transitions.
Estimated learning effort: 40–60 hours per year through strategic governance, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
