This course will help learners recognize, reflect and respond to changes in condition in frail older adults in long-term care through the use of the Sensory Observation System (SOS) and SBAR techniques. Learners will understand apply these two systems to common clinical scenarios, and to transfer this learning to the daily practice setting. Anticipated outcomes of this course include enhanced information sharing, enriched appreciation for role interdependency and prevention of unnecessary emergency transfers.
