PDF certificates can now be downloaded by badge issuers for multiple purposes.
PDF badges are an increasingly popular feature of CanCred. Until now, they were only available to badge recipients, i.e., the “owners” of the credentials. But starting today, badge issuers can download them for purposes such as archiving credentials or printing high-quality hard copies for award ceremonies.
PDF badges—online and offline. The best of both worlds!
About PDF badges
PDF badges are a unique feature of the CanCred platform, based on Open Badge Factory technology, because they work like traditional badges, combining the best aspects of offline and online badges. Each PDF contains all the metadata normally embedded in a badge image, but it is readable without a display platform AND can be uploaded to Passport to function as a regular Open Badge.
